| | Southern National of Plymouth, as part of the Tilling group, was one of the original operators of this type of vehicle. By the time that they bought these coaches Southern National was highly integrated with it's bigger neighbour Western National. In Jan 1971 this process was completed as the Southern National name disappeared under one of National Bus Company's reorganisations. The usage of the two different number series (14xx and 23xx) was the same as Western National. See also under Royal Blue for details of services and marketing.
